電纜橋架刷防火涂料，可參考《鋼結構防火涂料應用技術規范》CECS 24:90，借鑒鋼結構的一些經驗。防火涂料的厚度與耐火極限有密切的關系，詳見表1。問題來了，表1是對鋼結構來說沒有問題，涂層厚度與鋼結構尺寸相比微乎其微，而電纜橋架所用材料只有幾個毫米厚，表中厚涂型涂層厚度高可達50mm（對應耐火極限3h），這么厚的涂層如何刷到薄薄的電纜橋架上。
